"ELEVATION" YOUTH MINISTRY
Grades 6-12 are a mixture of excitement, challenge and change. The youth of the 21st century want to know how they can find a purpose for living as they build significant relationships with the people in their lives.
Sawmill Baptist Church values youth because we know they are leaders both today and in the future and that God loves them. We know we have a tremendous privilege and a great responsibility sharing God's love with them and helping them understand what it means to be a person of purpose.
Activities are designed to allow youth to invite their friends, including opportunities to help them to help others and trips to special youth events offered by para-church organizations, allowing them to experience a wider understanding of what it means to be a part of the family of God.
THE GOAL IS TO PROVIDE:
*An environment where youth grow and become transformed by God.
*Creating and teaching discipleship and a genuine love of Jesus.
*"Hands-on" ministry opportunities.
*Times for fun and relaxation.
All youth grades 6-12 are invited on Sunday mornings and Sunday evenings and are encouraged to invite their friends. Elevation is led by Youth Minister Pat Castoe. You can reach Pat by e-mail at at pat.castoeyl@yahoo.com.
BIBLE STUDY CLASS
SUNDAY MORNING (9:30 a.m.) - "CORE"
During Core, we take time to dig into God's Word to see what it says and how we apply it to our lives. We garb hold and get a good grip on what God wants to tell us.
YOUTH GROUP
SUNDAY EVENING (6:00 p.m.) - "SUMMIT"
Summit is the time when we focus on fellowship and create a contagious, inviting atmosphere where youth can bring their friends to check out what it means to be a Christian and take a look at the life of Jesus.

Sawmill Baptist Church is glad to provide a location for the Dublin Scioto Young Life ministry to meet each Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. Young Life is a para-church organization that seeks to share the gospel with today's youth in a compelling and practical way.
